Melrose Cafe & Bar wanted to leave the flash based website behind, and move towards more customer oriented interaction. Their custom designed website is built on top of WordPress’s industry leading CMS as to allow control over all of their content, while engaging their clients in an interactive way.

Melrose wanted an easier way to get the content they wanted to share online, and we delivered. Using a custom designed WordPress theme, and a lot of customization within that theme, they were able to throw everything they could imagine and the CMS, and still have it come out looking great.

With the many events, and special nights Melrose has, they needed a way to showcase them in a chronological way. Their ”Events” page is completely managed by WordPress, right down to the mini-thumbnail image in the sidebar. It allows them to show off what they are doing next Saturday, while still showing visitors what’s happening two weeks or a month down the road.

Their menu’s are also online for visitor’s too see. Both in a download-able PDF format, or by visiting their menu pages directly. These were incredibly important to them as it’s a great means of getting people in the door by showing off some of the great eats they have, along side of being one of the best spots in town to have a drink with friends, or watch the game with some buddies.

Social media was also greatly important to Melrose. Their “Connect Bar” sits prominently at the top of each page, and allows everyone to quickly share with their friends what’s going on tonight. Most pages are also Twitter and Facebook connected so sharing takes literally 3 seconds. Don’t forget to comment using Disqus’s comment system on every article so they know you’re thoughts!
